SAMS stands for Students Academic Management System. It has two components e-Admission & e-Administration. SAMS presently supports online admission for Higher Secondary, Degree, Post-graduations, ITI, Diploma, PDIS, Teacher Education, Physical Education, correspondence and Music, Dance & Drama Education institutions.
e-Admission is nothing but online admission carried out for various courses (as answered in the ques-1) of Odisha. The detailed process of admission is explained in the Common Prospectus (CP) available separately for different courses.

The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed on the website www.samsodisha.gov.in along with the CP which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP, take print copies of the Applicant CAF and keep it with you for further process at the time of admission.
An applicant has to choose 2 nos. of Govt. College of Physical Educations (GCPE) for B.P.Ed. Course & for M.P.Ed. Course there is only one option available.
An option is a combination of a particular GCPE for B.P.Ed & for M.P.Ed.course. You should exercise your options in order of preference only i.e. the most preferred option to be opted first.
No. The selection will be conducted on the basis of merit, reservations & Physical Fitness Test. Student will be selected against any one option only.
Multiple choice of preference is much needed because, the selection will be done on merit basis. For example, if you apply with two preferences and you get selected against the 2nd option, then your status for 1st option is open in subsequent rounds. In case of vacancy arises due to non-admission of the selected candidates.
Yes, you can visit any of the GCPE to get your doubts cleared. You should contact the ‘Principal’ of the GCPE Bhubaneswar or Sambalpur for this.
You can pay your CAF Fees Rs.200/- (Non-refundable) irrespective of category per application.
An applicant can modify the provided information by student's login through the SAMS student e-Space till submission of the CAF online. After submission of the same, applicant will be able to modify the CAF, until depositing of the CAF fees through online mode. After payment made successful through online, CAF information can't be modified.
The merit lists will be published in due course of the scheduled date & time,which will available in the SAMS Portal i.e.www.samsodisha.gov.in for information of public. You will also be intimated exclusively through SMS & Email (if mobile number & email address is provided in the CAF) about the selection status of an applicant. You can also download the intimation letter from your student's login.
After getting your Index Card you are required for validation & Physical Fitness Test at Kalinga Stadium Warm-up practice field (running).
List of the documents required is given in the Intimation Letter. Arrange all the requisites for admission such as original certificates for verification, CAF print-out copy, passport s ize photo, admission fees & report to the Principal of the destination college on the scheduled date & time.
Admission will be completed in three steps: i.e. First Selection, Second Selection & Third selection (If vacancy arises) for the applicants
